Sehr seltene Englische Laternenuhr,
zweit Hälfte des 17. Jhd. Signiert: Lawrence
Debnam Jn Froom. Messingzifferblatt mit
versilbertem Zifferring und Weckerscheibe.
Schönes Messingwerk mit Stundenzeiger aus
Messing. Die originale Unruhhemmung wurde wie bei
vielen Uhren aus dieser Zeit am Anfang des 18. Jhd.
auf Spindelhemmung modernisiert. ,ebenso der
Antrieb von Seil auf Kette mit Umlenkrolle. Weil
die Rückseite für den Pendel
benötigt wurde, ist der Wecker auf die rechte
Seite verlegt worden. 24 Stundenwerk mit
Stundenschlag auf Glocke. Originale Blei- und
Wecker-Gewichte.

Very rare English lantern clock, second
half of the 17th century. Signed: Lawrence Debnam
Jn Froom. Brass dial with silvered dial ring and
alarm disc. Nice brass movement with brass hour
hand. The original balance wheel escapement was
modernized to a spindle escapement at the beginning
of the 18th century, as was the case with many
clocks from this period, as well as the drive from
rope to chain with pulley. Because the back was
needed for the pendulum, the alarm clock part was
moved to the right side. 24 hour movement with hour
strike on a bell. Original lead and alarm clock
weights.
